We at Superseed, where I served as the technical lead for this project, collaborated with Obsidian Entertainment on the development of Avowed. We took charge of in-game cinematic conversations and handled motion capture cleanup, refining performance data for a seamless player experience. Leveraging Unreal Engine 5’s advanced editor tools, we polished facial animations and blended a variety of cleaned mocap files. Our approach ensured that both expressions and body movements conveyed natural, immersive performances for the characters in Avowed.
